# How to Reset Your Capital One Password

> Reset your Capital One password and get back into your account.

## Steps

1. Go to **capitalone.com** and click **Sign In**.
2. Click the **Forgot Username or Password** link.
3. Select **Reset Password**.
4. Enter your username.
5. Enter the last 4 digits of your SSN and your date of birth.
6. Choose how to receive your one-time code (text, call, or email).
7. Enter the code you receive.
8. Create a new strong password.
9. Confirm the new password.
10. Sign in with the new password.
