# Forgot Username

> Recover a lost Capital One username.

# Recover Your Username

Can't remember your Capital One username? Use this guide to recover it in a few simple steps.

  You will need access to the phone number or email on your Capital One account.

## Steps

1. Go to **capitalone.com** and click **Sign In**.
2. Click **Forgot Username or Password**.
3. Select **Find Username**.
4. Enter your name and date of birth.
5. Enter the last 4 digits of your SSN.
6. Choose to receive your username by email or text.
7. Check your inbox or messages for the reveal.
8. Return to the sign-in page and try again.
