Travel Notifications

Capital One credit cards usually don’t require travel notifications, but you can still update your travel plans in the app if you want to.
Even without a travel note, use your card as normal abroad — Capital One does not charge foreign transaction fees on most credit cards.

Steps

  1. Sign in to the Capital One Mobile app.
  2. Open the card you plan to use abroad.
  3. Tap Card Settings or Services.
  4. Look for a travel or notes option.
  5. Enter your travel dates and destination.
  6. Confirm the entry.
  7. Enable transaction alerts before you leave.
Take a photo of the back of your card and store it in a secure place in case the card is lost while traveling.
